22nd to 24th April 2022
Kia ora koutou,
We have great pleasure in inviting Rotarians and partners to attend the final District 9980 Conference in Cromwell over the weekend 22-24 April 2022.
We are lining up exhilarating speakers to share remarkable life, vocational and humanitarian experiences in line with our Conference theme: Young Leaders / Changemakers.
Whilst here, explore Cromwell, ride your bike or walk the new Dunstan Trail up the side of Lake Dunstan. The Cromwell community is remarkably supportive of Rotary and there is no better place to catch up with old friends, find collaborative project partners and celebrate everything District 9980 has achieved since it was formed so very long ago. (1 July 1981)
Don’t forget your pumpkin and your hi viz vest as we serve to change lives.
Rotary District 9980
As a Rotary Club and Community, we are extremely proud District Governor Nick Wood is entrusted with this prestigious leadership role at such a young age. It is a privilege as a Club to acknowledge his achievement and host fellow 9980 Rotarians for the Annual Conference in Cromwell.
In writing this I considered our club vision "Making a positive difference for our community". Since 1981, Rotary Clubs and Rotarians of District 9980 have been creating lasting change in their communities and across the globe. This last conference for District 9980 will be the time for celebrating achievements, reconnecting with old friends and remembering life changing moments we created together.
Our conference theme “Young Leaders - Building Brighter Futures" plans to showcase vibrant young leaders from our community and encourage fresh perspectives, to lead us on into our bright new future as District 9999. I encourage you fill out the registration form and come and join a Club determined to make this an awesome send off for a terrific District.
