This facility recently changed hands with a young couple taking over the reins. They are really looking forward to having Rotarians and their families stay with them. The site has accommodation for 100 people staying in dormitory and bunk type accommodation each with around 6 bunks. The setting for this place is second to none, a 10 minute drive from town, under the Hunters Hills within a picturesque bush setting and a nearby stream. We have booked this accommodation out for the weekend and expect that it is the perfect venue for our younger Rotarians with families plus also being well priced should attract first time attendees.  Own bedding needs to be provided, ie sleeping bags/ sheets blankets and pillows. A fully equipped kitchen and separate but communal bathroom facilities. This complex would suit the RYE groups plus any younger family groups. They have a $300 exclusive fee and they said they will waive that but a flat fee of $25 per head per night. See Comments from the owners Steve and Lisa:

We are happy to offer $25.00 per person per night for your specified dates, and have pencilled you in.

As discussed, the bunk rooms sleep 8 or two sleep 13, and are in two wings of 74 and 30.  Guests would need to bring pillows, bedding and towels, although we do have a supply of bedding packs that could be hired at $10 per set.  We will provide tea towels, cleaning products etc for the kitchen, toilet paper and hand soap, and rubbish removal

Great value and we hope that this venue gets great support.

This is a first class rural accommodation in a new purpose built house 9 kms from town. Location Location Location and has 2 Queen and 4 double rooms with 2 bathrooms and views to die for. This may be available depending on how the Rural contractor owner gets on with staff as this is used as staff quarters during the summer. If available this would really suit a club with 6 couples attending who wanted to stay together.

The organisers are encouraging Rotarians who own Motorhomes or Caravans to consider bringing them to Waimate for the weekend. There are many options available for them to stay at. 35 Mins south of Waimate, Oamaru has a wide range of quality accommodation and this may be an option for some attendees. I would suggest visiting

to check out what is available and then contact the Provider direct to avoid them having to pay a fee to the Offshore business. According to the Website accommodation is filling fast in Oamaru.
